JWV Mission to Israel:

June 22 – July 1, 2026

Join the Jewish War Veterans (JWV) Department of the Mid-Atlantic and Israel for a 10-day mission focused on honor, resilience, and veteran solidarity. This journey is a unique opportunity to stand with those on the front lines, connect with fellow service members, and experience the living history of Israel firsthand.

Mission Highlights

  • Veteran Connection: Engage in a festive BBQ with Israeli soldiers and members of JWV Post 180.

  • Healing & Support: Visit soldiers in rehabilitation at the Sheba Medical Center and other facilities.

  • Strategic Briefings: Receive security briefings on the Golan Heights and a concluding strategic analysis from the Begin-Sadat Center.

  • Honoring Sacrifice: Pay respects at Mount Herzl, Israel's national cemetery, and the ANZAC Memorial in Be'er Sheva.

  • Sacred History: Experience guided tours of Yad Vashem, the Western Wall, and the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.

  • Lasting Legacy: Participate in a tree-planting ceremony at the Neot Kedumim Biblical Nature Reserve.

Logistics & Costs

  • Base Cost: $4,000 per person (double occupancy).

  • Single Supplement: $1,400 for a private room.

  • Tips: $150 per person (to be paid in cash upon arrival).

  • What’s Included: Deluxe motor coach transportation, high-quality hotel accommodations, all entry fees per the itinerary, daily breakfast, two lunches, and all but one dinner.

  • Kosher & Shabbat: All group meals provided will be kosher. Participants are free to observe Shabbat according to their own traditions, with opportunities for synagogue services provided.

Important Dates & Payment Schedule

To secure your place on this mission, please adhere to the following deadlines:

  • March 20, 2026: Preferred early application goal for priority processing.

  • March 27, 2026: $500 registration deposit and first payment of $2,500 due.

  • March 31, 2026: Final absolute deadline for all applications.

  • April 20, 2026: Final payment (including any single supplement) due.

How to Register

Submit your completed Registration Form, Emergency Contact Form, Release Form, and a color copy of your passport picture page to Rabbi Mitchell Ackerson.

  • Passport Requirement: Your passport must be valid until at least January 1, 2027.

  • Visa Requirement: All participants must obtain an ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization) online before arrival.
