Dear Department Members,
It is with great pride that we share the exciting news that Governor Wes Moore has appointed Ed Rothstein, a proud member of JWV Post 167, to serve as the new Secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families.
Secretary-designate Rothstein will officially assume the role on August 1st, bringing with him a wealth of experience, leadership, and a lifelong commitment to serving veterans and military families across our great state.
We also extend our appreciation to Ross Cohen, who has served admirably as Interim Acting Secretary and will continue supporting the department as Deputy Secretary.
